Friday, Rhonda and I attended a small Social Media Marketing conference in Raleigh. It lasted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and we had lunch at Hibachi Grill. This conference tended to focus on a lot of information I already knew (I do some social media marketing for a small local business), but I did get a list of some helpful tools and resources that I plan to look into.
Once I left the conference, I called Brian and said that he could go ahead and head into town. I drove back to Auntie’s and waited until him and his friend Kidd, who would be spending the weekend with us, arrived. We grabbed lunch at Red Robin in Cary, then stopped for drinks at Bada Wings right by Mission Valley right before going to see our movie – The Campaign. Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in the same movie? Yes, please!
Saturday morning we stopped by the hospital to visit an old coworker and friend of Brian’s. It was a nice visit, and his friend is looking well. For brunch we stopped by a new place, Brigs in Cary. The portions were nice, and the food was great! I should have tried something new, but just as I did at Tyler’s Taproom last weekend, I ended up ordering chicken and waffles. I just love salty + sweet too much, and I’m happy to say that Brigs did not disappoint.
We got a hotel room for the weekend since Kidd was with us so we stopped by there, and relaxed. The boys went down to the pub for a bit, then came back to get me for dinner. We went to O’Charley’s, and as usual, I completely overate. After dinner began our night on the town. We headed over to Ashley’s friend’s place, and pregamed before leaving for Glenwood. We went to 606 Lounge and danced until we couldn’t anymore.
Sunday. We dragged ourselves out of the fluffy hotel beds and had lunch at Los Tres Magueyes in Morrisville, Brian’s all time favorite spot.
It was difficult saying goodbye to Brian this weekend, especially since we did not get any alone time, but at least we had some fun!
Tonight, I had a 3-way phone call with the girls (Erika and Jenna) who I have officially “wifed up” according to my Facebook, haha! Love those girls!
